SICK AGAIN!
long story. let me start from the very beginning.
on tuesday, i had to go and fetch my lil brother home from school. we went to the library (and i borrowed a book about the unexplained! later down the post) and when we're on the way home, it started to rain. we don't have an umbrella. luckily, my bro's bag is kind of water-proof. so told him to cover his head with that. and i go, un-covered. i didn't really dry myself when i got home. and i didn't feel sick at all.
the next morning, when i try to swallow, my right ear hurts. and later in the day, my throat hurts.
went to singapore polytechnic for the SP experience. it's okayy lar. they used alot of propaganda though. to make us go to the premium poly. anyway. poly's okayy lar. it takes 5 years to finish both poly and university. but 6 years to finish both JC and university.
our buffet breakfast was okayy. not as delicious and high class as they described =.=
after eating, we were split up into groups to go to the courses we registered earlier. i, of course, chose science :). then we were led to the old science building. there, we were split into further groups. to go to two specified diplomas courses. there were no biomedical tours! bloody hell. anyway, i chose to go to the biotechnology and food technology cluster. the tour was okayy lar. we were led from the old science building to the new science building to attend the biotech workshop. then we had a simple exercise where we looked through microscopes at the cell samples. THEN, we were led from the new science building to the old science building (again!) for the food technology workshop. then there, we had to investigatethe pH levels, suger content, salt content and vitamin contentof a few leading soft drinks. one is really acidic and another unexpected one was high in sugar!
after the workshop, i felt feverish. so novell and i made our way back to yishun where we met up with sherina, caiyun and huiwen for lunch. i had to eat porridge. it's okayy lar, i love porridge :).
after i reached home, my fever turned serious. in the evening, we took 811 to katib there to see the doctor. who knows, the clinic isn't opened! so i had to go home and take panadol =.= i hate panadol.
when i woke up this morning, i seriously don't feel like going to school. i was giddy, my temperature was 38.2, and my legs were sore. i slept for awhile more, and when i woke up, my fever subsided. and well, i'm good enough to go to school again! :)
about the book on the unexplained. some parts are real freaky. like there was this pair of sisters in 1957. they died in a car accident by a woman who had decided to take her own life. their fatehr was a strong believer in reincarnation. and when his wife announced that she was pregnant some months later, he said that she would give birth to twin girls who would be their daughter reincarnated. although their family doctor only detected one foetus in the womb, the wife refused to believe her husband. however, on 4th october 1958, twin girls were delivered. one of the twins had a faint white mark on her forehead that matched a scar on the head of one of the dead daughters. the other twin had an identical birthmark to the other dead daughter. even more terrifying things happened. the twins recognised the school that their sisters had attended, knew facts about the dead girls' childhoods, and could correctly name their older siblings' dolls (and knew which one had belonged to each). even more frightening, they were often found together, one cradling another, and talking about blood pouring from her mouth, just as it had had during the accident. and once, when a car started up that was facing them at the same angle as the car which killed their older sisters, they screamed and clucthed each other in terror. all these stopped when the twins reached five years of age. creepy? yes.
